The Next Morning on the Mountain

Karen and Todd sent out a few photos this morning showing the view and saying, "It was cold last night." This morning, after breakfast, the crew will ski and ride down the mountain. What an adventure for these kids. I'm sure they'll have stories to tell.

I'm sure that this fire didn't heat up this cabin very well.

Mount Washington, New Hampshire. In the 1860s, my great-great grandfather
started a newspaper called Among the Clouds on the top ofd this mountain.
His son, my great grandfather,  continued publishing the newspaper.
In 1961, my grandfather wrote the history
of the mountain in a book titled The Story of Mount Washington. There's a
ravine named after my great-great called Burt's Ravine. In the 1960s and 1970s my
brothers and I all worked on the mountain on the train called
the Mount Washington Cog Railway that chugs to the mountain's summit.

Fashionable accommodations. :-)

The White Mountains.
