Over Night on a Mountainside in Jackson, New Hampshire

Karen and Todd have a lot of additional equipment, both personal and Outing Club,
that they loan to the kids for these adventures.

The boys are going on an Outing Club Adventure in the mountains of New Hampshire with husband and wife, Todd and Karen, two teachers at the school and ski coaches. Here's the information as sent by the leaders (I added a hyperlink to the cabin below plus here's a video of the hike, the cabin, the activities, and the views):

Hi All - You are getting this message because your students are interested in the outing club trip on Sunday. We will be headed to Double Head cabin in Jackson NH. We plan to leave at noon on Sunday after the storm lets up. The trip is a 1.8 mile hike up to a rustic Forest Service Cabin where we will spend the night. The cabin has a wood stove, but it is not insulated, so it will be chilly. The cabin has 8 unpadded bunks. Also, there is no water source, so we will need to melt snow for drinking, and the facilities will be an outhouse. As you might guess, there is no electicity. We are asking $20 to cover the cost of the cabin rental and meals Sunday night and Monday morning.

I am including a gear list. Some gear can be borrowed. Double Head Cabin Trip Packing List

Large 60 Liter or larger backpack (We have 3 large ones and 2 smaller ones we can lend out)
