Last night, I surprised the boys with an early Christmas present, a day's skiing at the 7 mountains of Sunday River Ski Resort. This morning, we got up early, headed to the mountain 25 miles away, and beat the traffic.
An aside: I used to work at Sunday River in the late 1970s and early 1980s. I wrote a blog entry about my work at The River in a few years ago. Bailey and I went hiking and I enjoyed thinking back to the memories: One Dog's Writer, Exploring Sunday River 30 Years Later.
For now, the boys are having a heavenly day with warm temperatures and 7 mountain peaks to explore. Merry Christmas!
