Hiking in the Fall of the Year

Taken from our local ski area, Black Mountain,
this photo is from 2016 when the leaves were almost at full color.
The big mountain in the distance is Mt Blue, a mountain that is near our
lake house (a.k.a., camp) in Weld, Maine.

While the boys went off with friends to a trampoline park in the town of Lewiston, I trekked the local mountains with Bailey. I thought you'd enjoy these photographs of early fall. Next week, the leaves will be at peak in our area, and I'll be sure to share some photos.

On the summit of Red Hill there's a road that
doubles as a snow mobile trail.

Half way down the slopes.

The mountain behind Black Mountain is called Whitecap.
Guido and I hiked Whitecap when he first arrived.
