Since Sebino arrived later, we did a quick road trip to a spot near Rangeley, Maine, called the Height of Land. The HoL has a beautiful overlook of the Rangeley Lakes. At this vista, the wind howled and the cooler temperatures made our visit feel like fall weather. Next, we drove through the mountain pass called Byron Notch and landed in the town of Weld and its Webb Lake when my family has had summer camps since the 1920s.

Tumbledown Mountain--a fun climb--not as steep a climb as it looks.
